Ayah 1

اَلرَّحْمٰنُۙ

Ar-raḥmān(u).

The Most Merciful

Ayah 2

عَلَّمَ الْقُرْاٰنَۗ

‘Allamal-qur'ān(a).

Taught the Qur’ān,

Ayah 3

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَۙ

Khalaqal-insān(a).

Created man,

Ayah 4

عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ

‘Allamahul-bayān(a).

[And] taught him eloquence.

Ayah 5

اَلشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۙ

Asy-syamsu wal-qamaru biḥusbān(in).

The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

Ayah 6

وَّالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ

Wan-najmu wasy-syajaru yasjudān(i).

And the stars and trees prostrate.

Ayah 7

وَالسَّمَاۤءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيْزَانَۙ

Was-samā'a rafa‘ahā wa waḍa‘al-mīzān(a).

And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

Ayah 8

اَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِى الْمِيْزَانِ

Allā taṭgau fil-mīzān(i).

That you not transgress within the balance.

Ayah 9

وَاَقِيْمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيْزَانَ

Wa aqīmul-wazna bil-qisṭi wa lā tukhsirul-mīzān(a).

And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

Ayah 10

وَالْاَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْاَنَامِۙ

Wal-arḍa waḍa‘ahā lil-anām(i).

And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

Ayah 11

فِيْهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْاَكْمَامِۖ

Fīhā fākihatuw wan-nakhlu żātul-akmām(i).

Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

Ayah 12

وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُۚ

Wal-ḥabbu żul-‘aṣfi war-raiḥān(u).

And grain having husks and scented plants.

Ayah 13

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 14

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ

Khalaqal-insāna min ṣalṣālin kal-fakhkhār(i).

He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

Ayah 15

وَخَلَقَ الْجَاۤنَّ مِنْ مَّارِجٍ مِّنْ نَّارٍۚ

Wa khalaqal-jānna mim mārijim min nār(in).

And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

Ayah 16

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 17

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِۚ

Rabbul-masyriqaini wa rabbul-magribain(i).

[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.

Ayah 18

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 19

مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيٰنِۙ

Marajal-baḥraini yaltaqiyān(i).

He released the two seas, meeting [one another];

Ayah 20

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيٰنِۚ

Bainahumā barzakhul lā yabgiyān(i).

Between them is a barrier so neither of them transgresses.

Ayah 21

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 22

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُۚ

Yakhruju minhumal-lu'lu'u wal-marjān(u).

From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

Ayah 23

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 24

وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَاٰتُ فِى الْبَحْرِ كَالْاَعْلَامِۚ

Wa lahul-jawāril-munsya'ātu fil-baḥri kal-a‘lām(i).

And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

Ayah 25

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ࣖ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 26

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍۖ

Kullu man ‘alaihā fān(in).

Everyone upon it [i.e., the earth] will perish,

Ayah 27

وَّيَبْقٰى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلٰلِ وَالْاِكْرَامِۚ

Wa yabqā wajhu rabbika żul-jalāli wal-ikrām(i).

And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

Ayah 28

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 29

يَسْـَٔلُهٗ مَنْ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِيْ شَأْنٍۚ

Yas'aluhū man fis-samāwāti wal-arḍ(i), kulla yaumin huwa fī sya'n(in).

Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is in [i.e., bringing about] a matter.

Ayah 30

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 31

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ اَيُّهَ الثَّقَلٰنِۚ

Sanafrugu lakum ayyuhaṡ-ṡaqalān(i).

We will attend to you, O prominent beings.

Ayah 32

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 33

يٰمَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ اِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ اَنْ تَنْفُذُوْا مِنْ اَقْطَارِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوْاۗ لَا تَنْفُذُوْنَ اِلَّا بِسُلْطٰنٍۚ

Yā ma‘syaral-jinni wal-insi inistaṭa‘tum an tanfużū min aqṭāris-samāwāti wal-arḍi fanfużū, lā tanfużūna illā bisulṭān(in).

O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allāh].

Ayah 34

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 35

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّنْ نَّارٍۙ وَّنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِۚ

Yursalu ‘alaikumā syuwāẓum min nār(in), wa nuḥāsun falā tantaṣirān(i).

There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.

Ayah 36

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 37

فَاِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاۤءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِۚ

Fa iżansyaqqatis-samā'u fa kānat wardatan kad-dihān(i).

And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -

Ayah 38

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 39

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَنْ ذَنْۢبِهٖٓ اِنْسٌ وَّلَا جَاۤنٌّۚ

Fa yauma'iżil lā yus'alu ‘an żambihī insuw wa lā jānn(un).

Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.

Ayah 40

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 41

يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ بِسِيْمٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِيْ وَالْاَقْدَامِۚ

Yu‘raful-mujrimūna bisīmāhum fa yu'khażu bin-nawāṣī wal-aqdām(i).

The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

Ayah 42

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 43

هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِيْ يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُوْنَۘ

Hāżihī jahannamul-latī yukażżibu bihal-mujrimūn(a).

This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

Ayah 44

يَطُوْفُوْنَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيْمٍ اٰنٍۚ

Yaṭūfūna bainahā wa baina ḥamīmin ān(in).

They will circulate between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

Ayah 45

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ࣖ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 46

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ جَنَّتٰنِۚ

Wa liman khāfa maqāma rabbihī jannatān(i).

But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -

Ayah 47

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۙ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 48

ذَوَاتَآ اَفْنَانٍۚ

Żawātā afnān(in).

Having [spreading] branches.

Ayah 49

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fabi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 50

فِيْهِمَا عَيْنٰنِ تَجْرِيٰنِۚ

Fīhimā ‘aināni tajriyān(i).

In both of them are two springs, flowing.

Ayah 51

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 52

فِيْهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجٰنِۚ

Fīhimā min kulli fākihatin zaujān(i).

In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

Ayah 53

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 54

مُتَّكِـِٕيْنَ عَلٰى فُرُشٍۢ بَطَاۤىِٕنُهَا مِنْ اِسْتَبْرَقٍۗ وَجَنَا الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍۚ

Muttaki'īna ‘alā furusyim baṭā'inuhā min istabraq(in), wa janal-jannataini dān(in).

[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

Ayah 55

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 56

فِيْهِنَّ قٰصِرٰتُ الطَّرْفِۙ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَاۤنٌّۚ

Fīhinna qāṣirātuṭ-ṭarf(i), lam yaṭmiṡhunna insun qablahum wa lā jānn(un).

In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinnī -

Ayah 57

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 58

كَاَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوْتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُۚ

Ka'annahunnal-yāqūtu wal-marjān(u).

As if they were rubies and coral.

Ayah 59

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 60

هَلْ جَزَاۤءُ الْاِحْسَانِ اِلَّا الْاِحْسَانُۚ

Hal jazā'ul-iḥsāni illal-iḥsān(u).

Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

Ayah 61

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 62

وَمِنْ دُوْنِهِمَا جَنَّتٰنِۚ

Wa min dūnihimā jannatān(i).

And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

Ayah 63

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۙ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 64

مُدْهَاۤمَّتٰنِۚ

Mudhāmmatān(i).

Dark green [in color].

Ayah 65

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 66

فِيْهِمَا عَيْنٰنِ نَضَّاخَتٰنِۚ

Fīhimā ‘aināni naḍḍākhatān(i).

In both of them are two springs, spouting.

Ayah 67

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 68

فِيْهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّنَخْلٌ وَّرُمَّانٌۚ

Fīhimā fākihatuw wa nakhluw wa rummān(un).

In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

Ayah 69

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 70

فِيْهِنَّ خَيْرٰتٌ حِسَانٌۚ

Fīhinna khairātun ḥisān(un).

In them are good and beautiful women -

Ayah 71

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 72

حُوْرٌ مَّقْصُوْرٰتٌ فِى الْخِيَامِۚ

Ḥūrum maqṣūrātun fil-khiyām(i).

Fair ones reserved in pavilions -

Ayah 73

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 74

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَاۤنٌّۚ

Lam yaṭmiṡhunna insun qablahum wa lā jānn(un).

Untouched before them by man or jinnī -

Ayah 75

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 76

مُتَّكِـِٕيْنَ عَلٰى رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَّعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍۚ

Muttaki'īna ‘alā rafrafin khuḍriw wa ‘abqariyyin ḥisān(in).

Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

Ayah 77

فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۚ

Fa bi'ayyi ālā'i rabbikumā tukażżibān(i).

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 78

تَبٰرَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى الْجَلٰلِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ ࣖ

Tabārakasmu rabbika żil-jalāli wal-ikrām(i).

Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
