Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.

Ayah 28

Wa ja‘alanī mubārakan aina mā kunt(u), wa auṣānī biṣ-ṣalāti waz-zakāti mā dumtu ḥayyā(n).

Żālika ‘īsabnu maryam(a), qaulal-ḥaqqil-lażī fīhi yamtarūn(a).

That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute.

Ayah 35

Mā kāna lillāhi ay yattakhiża miw waladin subḥānah(ū), iżā qaḍā amran fa innamā yaqūlu lahū kun fa yakūn(u).

It is not [befitting] for Allāh to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.

Ayah 36

Fakhtalafal-aḥzābu mim bainihim, fa wailul lil-lażīna kafarū mim masyhadi yaumin ‘aẓīm(in).

Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to those who disbelieved - from the scene of a tremendous Day.

Ayah 38

Asmi‘ bihim wa abṣir, yauma ya'tūnanā lākiniẓ-ẓālimūnal-yauma fī ḍalālim mubīn(in).

Wa anżirhum yaumal-ḥasrati iż quḍiyal-amr(u), wa hum fī gaflatiw wa hum lā yu'minūn(a).

And warn them, [O Muḥammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe.

Ayah 40

Innā naḥnu nariṡul-arḍa wa man ‘alaihā wa ilainā yurja‘ūn(a).

Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned.

And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet.

Ayah 42

Yā abati innī qad jā'anī minal-‘ilmi mā lam ya'tika fattabi‘nī ahdika ṣirāṭan sawiyyā(n).

O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path.

Ayah 44

Yā abati lā ta‘budisy-syaiṭān(a), innasy-syaiṭāna kāna lir-raḥmāni ‘aṣiyyā(n).

O my father, do not worship [i.e., obey] Satan. Indeed Satan has ever been, to the Most Merciful, disobedient.

Ayah 45

Yā abati innī akhāfu ay yamassaka ‘ażābum minar-raḥmāni fa takūna lisy-syaiṭāni waliyyā(n).

O my father, indeed I fear that there will touch you a punishment from the Most Merciful so you would be to Satan a companion [in Hellfire]."

Ayah 46

Qāla arāgibun anta ‘an ālihatī yā ibrāhīm(u), la'illam tantahi la'arjumannaka wahjurnī maliyyā(n).

[His father] said, "Have you no desire for my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so avoid me a prolonged time."

Ayah 47

Qāla salāmun ‘alaik(a), sa'astagfiru laka rabbī, innahū kāna bī ḥafiyyā(n).

[Abraham] said, "Peace [i.e., safety] will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Indeed, He is ever gracious to me.

Ayah 48

Wa a‘tazilukum wa mā tad‘ūna min dūnillāhi wa ad‘ū rabbī, ‘asā allā akūna bidu‘ā'i rabbī syaqiyyā(n).

And I will leave you and those you invoke other than Allāh and will invoke my Lord. I expect that I will not be in invocation to my Lord unhappy [i.e., disappointed]."

Ayah 49

Ulā'ikal-lażīna an‘amallāhu ‘alaihim minan-nabiyyīna min żurriyyati ādama wa mimman ḥamalnā ma‘a nūḥ(in), wa min żurriyyati ibrāhīma wa isrā'īl(a), wa mimman hadainā wajtabainā, iżā tutlā ‘alaihim āyātur-raḥmāni kharrū sujjadaw wa bukiyyā(n).

Those were the ones upon whom Allāh bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel [i.e., Jacob], and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.

Ayah 59

Fa khalafa mim ba‘dihim khalfun aḍā‘uṣ-ṣalāta wattaba‘usy-syahawāti fa saufa yalqauna gayyā(n).

But there came after them successors [i.e., later generations] who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil -

Ayah 60

Illā man tāba wa āmana wa ‘amila ṣāliḥan fa ulā'ika yadkhulūnal-jannata wa lā yuẓlamūna syai'ā(n).

Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all.

Ayah 61

Jannāti ‘adninil-latī wa‘adar-raḥmānu ‘ibādahū bil-gaib(i), innahū kāna wa‘duhū ma'tiyyā(n).

[Therein are] gardens of perpetual residence which the Most Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen. Indeed, His promise has ever been eminent.

Ayah 62

Lā yasma‘ūna fīhā lagwan illā salāmā(n), wa lahum rizquhum fīhā bukrataw wa ‘asyiyyā(n).

They will not hear therein any ill speech - only [greetings of] peace - and they will have their provision therein, morning and afternoon.

Ayah 63

Tilkal-jannatul-latī nūriṡu min ‘ibādinā man kāna taqiyyā(n).

That is Paradise, which We give as inheritance to those of Our servants who were fearing of Allāh.

Ayah 64

Wa mā natanazzalu illā bi'amri rabbik(a), lahū mā baina aidīnā wa mā khalfanā wa mā baina żālika wa mā kāna rabbuka nasiyyā(n).

[Gabriel said], "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful -

Ayah 65

Rabbus-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa mā bainahumā fa‘budhu waṣṭabir li‘ibādatih(ī), hal ta‘lamu lahū samiyyā(n).

Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them - so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him?"

Ayah 66

Wa yaqūlul-insānu a'iżā mā mittu lasaufa ukhraju ḥayyā(n).

And man [i.e., the disbeliever] says, "When I have died, am I going to be brought forth alive?"

Ayah 67

Awalā yażkurul-insānu annā khalaqnāhu min qablu wa lam yaku syai'ā(n).

Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing?

Ayah 68

Fa wa rabbika lanaḥsyurannahum wasy-syayāṭīna ṡumma lanuḥḍirannahum ḥaula jahannama jiṡiyyā(n).

So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees.

Ayah 69

Ṡumma lananzi‘anna min kulli syī‘atin ayyuhum asyaddu ‘alar-raḥmāni ‘itiyyā(n).

Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence.

Ayah 70

Ṡumma lanaḥnu a‘lamu bil-lażīna hum aulā bihā ṣiliyyā(n).

Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein.

Ayah 71

Wa im minkum illā wāriduhā, kāna ‘alā rabbika ḥatmam maqḍiyyā(n).

And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed.

Ayah 72

Ṡumma nunajjil-lażīnattaqau wa nażaruẓ-ẓālimīna fīhā jiṡiyyā(n).

Then We will save those who feared Allāh and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees.

Ayah 73

Wa iżā tutlā ‘alaihim āyātunā bayyinātin qālal-lażīna kafarū lil-lażīna āmanū, ayyul-farīqaini khairum maqāmaw wa aḥsanu nadiyyā(n).

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?"

Ayah 74

Wa kam ahlaknā qablahum min qarnin hum aḥsanu aṡāṡaw wa ri'yā(n).

And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance?

Ayah 75

Qul man kāna fiḍ-ḍalālati falyamdud lahur-raḥmānu maddā(n), ḥattā iżā ra'au mā yū‘adūna immal-‘ażāba wa immas-sā‘ata fa saya‘lamūna man huwa syarrum makānaw wa aḍ‘afu jundā(n).

Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers."

Ayah 76

Wa yazīdullāhul-lażīnahtadau hudā(n), wal-bāqiyātuṣ-ṣāliḥātu khairun ‘inda rabbika ṡawābaw wa khairum maraddā(n).

And Allāh increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse.

Ayah 77

Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]"?

Ayah 78

Aṭṭala‘al-gaiba amittakhaża ‘indar-raḥmāni ‘ahdā(n).

Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise?

Ayah 79

Kallā, sanaktubu mā yaqūlu wa namuddu lahū minal-‘ażābi maddā(n).

No! We will record what he says and extend [i.e., increase] for him from the punishment extensively.

Ayah 80

And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone.

Wattakhażū min dūnillāhi ālihatal liyakūnū lahum ‘izzā(n).

And they have taken besides Allāh [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor.

Ayah 82

Kallā, sayakfurūna bi‘ibādatihim wa yakūnūna ‘alaihim ḍiddā(n).

No! They [i.e., those "gods"] will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement].

Ayah 83

Alam tara annā arsalnasy-syayāṭīna ‘alal-kāfirīna ta'uzzuhum azzā(n).

Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them [to evil] with [constant] incitement?

Ayah 84

Falā ta‘jal ‘alaihim, innamā na‘uddu lahum ‘addā(n).

So be not impatient over them. We only count out [i.e., allow] to them a [limited] number.

And will drive the criminals to Hell in thirst

Lā yamlikūnasy-syafā‘ata illā manittakhaża ‘indar-raḥmāni ‘ahdā(n).

None will have [power of] intercession except he who had taken from the Most Merciful a covenant.

Ayah 88

Ayah 90

The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation

An da‘au lir-raḥmāni waladā(n).

That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.

Ayah 92

Wa mā yambagī lir-raḥmāni ay yattakhiża waladā(n).

And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.

Ayah 93

In kullu man fis-samāwāti wal-arḍi illā ātir-raḥmāni ‘abdā(n).

There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant.

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection.

Ayah 97

Fa innamā yassarnāhu bilisānika litubasysyira bihil-muttaqīna wa tunżira bihī qaumal luddā(n).

So, [O Muḥammad], We have only made it [i.e., the Qur’ān] easy in your tongue [i.e., the Arabic language] that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people.

Ayah 98

Wa kam ahlaknā qablahum min qarn(in), hal tuḥissu minhum min aḥadin au tasma‘u lahum rikzā(n).

And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound?
